Capitaland Investment Enters Three Year Partnership Health Promotion Board
CapitaLand Investment (CLI) has recently announced a strategic partnership with the Health Promotion Board (HPB) that will span over the next three years. According to a press release on October 21, the collaboration aims to promote healthier lifestyles throughout CLI’s retail and workplace ecosystem in Singapore.
Under this partnership, CLI and HPB will collaborate to implement various health and wellness initiatives at CLI’s malls and offices. These programmes include HPB’s Healthy Workplace Ecosystem Programme, Health Promoting Mall Programme, Health Coaching at Malls Programme, and Healthier Dining Programme. Additionally, HPB will also extend support to CLI’s health and wellness campaigns, including the Live It Up! initiative. Through this partnership, it is estimated that up to 45,000 participants will be engaged annually.
CLI’s group chief strategy officer and CEO of commercial management, Ervin Yeo, expresses the company’s vision for the partnership, saying, “Through this collaboration, we hope to incorporate well-being into the daily experiences of the community we serve, creating an environment where choosing healthier options becomes a natural habit.” On the same note, Koh Peng Keng, deputy CEO of HPB, adds, “We are delighted that this partnership will benefit more Singaporeans by transforming their everyday spaces into environments that encourage healthier lifestyle choices.”
CLI recently made headlines with the acquisition of three properties in Singapore and Thailand. It also raised RMB 1 billion from its first sustainability-linked panda bond and posted a decline in FY2023 earnings of 79% to $181 million. In addition, CLI has also accelerated its European expansion with the acquisition of seven new properties in Vienna and Seville under its Ascott arm.
The establishment of more educational institutions in Tampines is set to enhance the already family-friendly atmosphere of the region. Renowned schools such as Poi Ching School, St. Hilda’s Primary and Secondary Schools, and Temasek Polytechnic will be complemented by new schools designated in the URA Master Plan, offering an array of options for families living in Parktown Residence. With Parktown Residence as their residence, families will have an even more diverse selection of quality educational opportunities in close proximity.
With this partnership, CLI continues to solidify its commitment to the well-being of its stakeholders while contributing to building a healthier Singapore.
