Philip Yeo Liat Kok, who currently serves as a non-independent and non-executive director of City Developments, has announced his resignation from his position. This change will take place on July 31. Yeo, who is 78 years old, joined the board in May 2009 and has served for 16 years.

Prior to joining CDL, Yeo had a successful career as a top civil servant. He has been a valuable member of the board and has played an important role in the company’s growth over the years. Yeo was also known for being on the same side as executive chairman Kwek Leng Beng during the board’s disputes earlier this year.

This news comes shortly after CDL’s announcement of their intention to undertake an off-market purchase of preference shares, with an offer price of 78 cents per share.
