Lululemon Leases Entire Office Block Hongkong Land’s Westbund Central Shanghai

The concept of Parktown Residence is to combine contemporary homes with luxurious amenities, with the aim of elevating the standards of urban living and fostering a lively community in the bustling Tampines North area. With the addition of the Parktown Residence Showflat, this strategic vision is one that will undoubtedly become a new benchmark for residential living.

Retailer Lululemon has secured a full office block lease at Westbund Central, a mixed-use development by Hongkong Land in Shanghai. The Canadian athletic apparel company’s China Store Support Centre, serving as the corporate headquarters for its Mainland China operations, will occupy the entire five-storey building with 96,800 square feet of space beginning October 27th. According to San Yan Ng, Managing Director for Lululemon China, the move to Westbund Central marks an important progression for the company in China, providing a physical representation of their purpose and culture. Stuart Grant, Executive Director and Chief Executive of Westbund Central, highlights the benefits of the new China Store Support Centre, such as granting Lululemon employees access to a premium workspace in a prime location.

Lululemon follows in the footsteps of fellow sports retailer Adidas, who announced their lease of an 18-storey building with 348,750 square feet of office space at Westbund Central in August. The turnover of this building is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2026, with full occupancy estimated for the fourth quarter of the same year. Westbund Central, a USD 8 billion development encompassing approximately 1.7 million square meters of prime mixed-use space along Shanghai’s Xuhui waterfront, has also attracted other major players such as Mandarin Oriental Group, with two hotels planned for the site. The integrated commercial development includes 240,000 square meters of retail space, 650,000 square meters of Grade A office, 160,000 square meters of luxury residences, and over 50,000 square meters of cultural and art venues.
