Seaa Changes Name Singapore Institute Estate Agents
Oct 1 marked the beginning of a new era for the Singapore Estate Agents Association (SEAA), as it officially changed its name to the Singapore Institute of Estate Agents (SIEA). The change was made following the amalgamation of the SEAA with the Institute of Estate Agents.SIEA announced the new name in a press release on Oct 1, stating that the new name “reflects the association’s evolving role as the leading professional body for real estate agencies and agents in Singapore”. Along with this change, SIEA also revealed a new logo to go along with the updated name.
According to Eugene Lim, president of SIEA, the transformation from SEAA to SIEA is an exciting new chapter for the real estate industry. He explains that the association is focused on strengthening its collective voice, raising professional standards, and enhancing support for its members. The new identity and logo are a reflection of the association’s vision for a future where estate agents are recognized for their integrity, expertise, and contribution to Singapore’s property market.
One of the key initiatives that SIEA has undertaken is the launch of a multi-listing system (MLS) in partnership with EdgeProp. This system allows for co-broking among real estate agent members, making it easier for agents to collaborate and provide better services to their clients.
