Surbana Jurong Marks 10th Anniversary New Partnerships
Surbana Jurong (SJ Group) is commemorating its 10th anniversary with new collaborations to mark the milestone. In a press release, the Temasek-owned consultancy company states that these partnerships represent its commitment to a regenerative future by bringing together nature, technology, and people.
The first partnership is with the National Parks Board (NParks) where SJ has pledged to donate $1 million to the Garden City Fund, NParks’ registered charity and Institution of a Public Character (IPC). In addition, SJ will provide up to $1 million in in-kind consultancy support. To commemorate the occasion, NParks has named an orchid after SJ, called the Vanda Surbana Jurong, which was unveiled during SJ’s anniversary celebration on Oct 14. NParks CEO Hwang Yu-Ning expresses appreciation for SJ’s support and contribution towards promoting nature-positive climate resilience in Singapore.
In addition to the collaboration with NParks, SJ is expanding its flagship SJ Campus with two new spaces. The first is the SJ Digital Experience Centre, which provides an interactive setting for clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to see how SJ’s tools and platforms can enhance efficiency and unlock asset value. The second new space is the Design and Artificial Intelligence (D•AI) Fab Lab @ SJ, established through a partnership with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). The D•AI Fab Lab aims to cultivate “trilingual” talent that is skilled at combining design, AI, and domain expertise to create value for their organizations.
Jason Vollen, global head of innovation at SJ, shares that the D•AI Fab Lab @ SJ will become a space for experimentation, prototyping, and learning for SJ’s employees and partners, bringing design, data, and artificial intelligence together. This collaborative effort between industry and academia will result in innovative talents who can leverage a combination of skills to create value in their organizations.
Furthermore, SJ Group has recently appointed Lim Cheng Cheng as its Group CFO. Lim brings with her over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, finance, and risk management, and will play a critical role in driving SJ Group’s growth and strategy. As SJ Group continues to innovate and expand its partnerships, it looks set to continue making a positive impact on the environment and society.
