Singhaiyi Appoints Nakano Singapore Main Contractor Sora

SingHaiyi has selected Nakano Singapore to be the primary contractor for its new residential development, the Sora condo. The official groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site on April 29.
The upcoming condominium is situated along Yuan Ching Road, facing Jurong Lake Gardens. Sora is a redevelopment of the previous Park View Mansion, located on a 99-year leasehold plot of 191,978 square feet. The land was acquired in July 2022 by a consortium led by SingHaiyi for $260 million. SingHaiyi and Chip Eng Seng (now part of SingHaiyi) hold a combined 70% stake in the joint venture, while KSH Holdings and Ho Lee Group possess the remaining 30% stake.
According to Raymond Chia, group CEO of SingHaiyi, Sora aims to provide its residents with a premium lifestyle that strikes a balance between nature and recreation. He also mentioned that the project is well-aligned with the transformation of Jurong Lake District into an integrated hub for “live-work-play-learn”.
This will be the first collaboration between SingHaiyi and Nakano Singapore, and Chia believes that it is a natural fit as Nakano is renowned for delivering exceptional quality in their developments. The managing director of Nakano Singapore, Kutsuzawa Yoichi, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that they share the same ethos as SingHaiyi in creating high-quality developments for their clients and consumers.
Nakano Singapore has been involved in notable projects in Singapore such as the 142-key luxury hotel Artyzen Singapore on Cuscaden Road and the 165-unit One-North Eden at Slim Barracks Rise in one-north.
