Environmental Resources Management (ERM), a global sustainability consultancy, has recently announced the expansion of its Southeast Asia hub in Singapore in collaboration with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). According to the company’s press release on May 17, this expansion will enable ERM to have a stronger sustainability impact on leading organizations in Asia.

The enhanced hub serves as a central point for ERM’s activities in the region, allowing it to better cater to the needs of its clients. As part of the expansion, ERM plans to create up to 40 new positions in various fields such as new energy, integrated environmental, social and governance due diligence, monitoring, reporting & verification, and sustainable asset retirement.

“We are thrilled to strengthen our presence in Singapore and contribute even more to the region’s sustainable development goals,” says Tom Reichert, group CEO at ERM. Lim Wey-Len, executive vice president of EDB, also expresses her enthusiasm, stating that the expansion of ERM’s regional hub in Singapore will further deepen the country’s capabilities in fields such as carbon markets, the use of hydrogen as an alternative energy source, and the early decommissioning of coal plants.

ERM, which currently employs over 8,000 experts in 40 countries and territories, is dedicated to helping its clients find solutions to sustainability challenges. With this expansion, the company aims to continue its efforts in advancing sustainable development and promoting a greener future.
