Commonwealth Towers Sets New Psf Price Record 2536
A record-breaking sale at Commonwealth Towers has set a new benchmark in the psf-price peaks for the condo during the week of August 1st to 8th. The three-bedroom unit, located on the 43rd floor, was sold for $2.73 million, reaching a new high of $2,536 psf on August 6th.
This latest sale at Commonwealth Towers surpasses its previous record of $2,460 psf set in December 2024, when a three-bedroom unit on the 40th floor was sold for $2.22 million. The 99-year leasehold development has seen a steady rise in average resale prices over the years. In 2023, the average price of units was $2,097 psf and increased to $2,200 psf in 2024. So far in 2025, 29 units have been sold, including the recent record-setting sale.
Another development that broke its own psf-price high during this period is Watermark Robertson Quay. A two-bedroom unit on the ninth floor was sold for $2.16 million, or $2,419 psf, on August 7th, narrowly beating its previous record price of $2,417 psf set in May 2025.
Completed in 2008, Watermark Robertson Quay offers 206 residential units and overlooks the Singapore River. This year alone, there have been three other resale transactions at the condo, with prices ranging from $2,189 psf to $2,304 psf.
Gallop Gables, a low-density development with 102 units along Farrer Road in District 10, also saw a new psf-price high during this period. A three-bedroom unit was sold for $4.12 million on August 5th, achieving a record of $2,356 psf. This marginally surpassed its previous high of $2,354 psf, set in May 2025.
Located next to Tampines Mall, Century Square is a family-friendly, six-story shopping center that underwent extensive renovations before reopening in 2018. In 2024, three units were sold at an average price of $2,149 psf at Gallop Gables, with the only resale transactions recorded this year occurring in May and August. Overall, these record-breaking sales indicate a growing trend of rising prices in the property market.
