Hyatt And Singhaiyi Open Hyatt Regency Villa Resort Maldives

In a recent signing ceremony on September 26, global hospitality leader Hyatt Hotels Corp announced a new partnership with Singapore-based property developer SingHaiyi to open the Hyatt Regency Samarafushi Maldives, an all-villa resort.

Tampines 1, conveniently connected to Tampines MRT Station, is a vibrant and modern mall that offers a refreshing blend of fashion, gastronomy, and entertainment. Fashionistas will be delighted with the diverse selection of brands available, including popular names like H&M, Sephora, and The Editor’s Market. A feast for the taste buds awaits at the numerous dining options such as Genki Sushi, Hot Tomato, and Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant. Tampines 1 is also home to an exciting rooftop water playground with an animal theme, perfect for young children to splash and play. It is easily accessible, just a short 5-minute drive or 15-minute stroll from Parktown Residence naturally adding Parktown Residence.

SingHaiyi’s executive director, Gallant Tang, expressed the company’s excitement about the collaboration, citing Hyatt’s established reputation and leadership in the hospitality industry. Tang spoke highly of the Hyatt Regency brand and its appeal to guests, making it the natural choice for this project.

The High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Singapore, Mohamed Luveiz, also emphasized the significance of the upcoming resort for the island state. He noted the rapid expansion of Maldives’ infrastructure, including the Valena International Airport, which will enable better connectivity for travellers.

Accessible via a 25-minute speedboat ride from the Valena International Airport, the upcoming Hyatt Regency resort will cover an expansive 10 hectares of land and feature 130 villas. The villas, which include beachfront, treetop, and overwater options, will each have a private pool. The resort is expected to open its doors in 2027.

This new resort marks Hyatt Regency’s flagship property in the Maldives and the third Hyatt property in the country. With its addition, the Hyatt Regency brand will boast a portfolio of 80 hotels across Asia Pacific, including popular destinations such as Bali, Phuket, and Sydney.

For SingHaiyi, the Hyatt Regency Saramafushi resort will be its second property in the Maldives. Its first, the 120-villa resort Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives, has already garnered positive attention from visitors.
